For less serious issues, we encourage you to refer to our website, when practical , before
contacting the office.

Please save routine questions (i.e. mild illness, feeding concerns, constipation, rashes, refills
and over-the-counter medicine doses) for our regular hours.

For concerns that cannot wait, call our regular office number, 913-906-0900, and a triage
nurse from Children's Mercy will answer your call within 60 minutes. If your call has not
been returned within 60 minutes, please call again. The nurse will give advice and direct you
if further evaluation is necessary . You will be charged $10 for after hours phone calls as we
are charged by Children's Mercy for this service.

If your child needs medical treatment after hours, we prefer evaluation at Children's Mercy
South located at 5808 W 110th, just west of Nall. We do not recommend visits to walk-in
clinics located in pharmacies.

For most injuries (i.e. possible fractures or lacerations requiring sutures) , you may go to your
closest emergency room approved by your insurance plan or Children's Mercy South.
